Transportation has played an essential role in human civilization, by movement of people, delivery of materials and products, and exchange of their tools and expertise.
Key functions of the Institute for Effective Transportation are to coalesce support for worthwhile transportation projects and then lobby for them to be programmed. Long-deferred infrastructure projects need to go into construction now for injection of stimulus.
Identify corridors suffering inadequate transportation service by metrics of speed, cost, environmental impact, public health & safety, and overall security.
Evaluate current programs to determine if redirecting funds could achieve better results.
Transform public sentiment into political support for improvements and/or public policy changes to rectify deficient performance
